The University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College will participate in the International Publishers Exhibition

The International Publishers Exhibition will take place on August 30 and 31 at the Met Hotel in Thessaloniki. The event will feature an exhibition but also several workshops and presenters. One of the presenters is the professor and author Mrs. Suzanne Antonaros. CITY College will be one of the exhibitors.

The first International Publishers Exhibition was organised in 1984 by international publishing companies but since 1992, DSC & Co. is hosting the event. The purpose of the exhibition has from the very beginning been to promote foreign language teaching materials. It is an opportunity for producers and users of the material, such as learning institutions, to meet and for visitors to learn more about the advancements within the subject. 

Newspapers, teacher training centres, and software producers usually also participate. The International Publishers Exhibition attracts companies from a number of countries, such as France, the United Kingdom and the United States. Besides from the event in Thessaloniki, there are also two annual exhibitions in Athens and one in Cyprus every year. Past fairs in Thessaloniki have had an average of 1800 visitors.

The International Publishers Exhibition will be open between 10.00 and 18.00 on the 30th and between 10.00 and 17.00 on the 31st. Entrance is free for owners of private language institutions and for lecturers of other languages.
