On 2 February, Chris Liassides, Director of the postgraduate programmes of the Business and Economics Department at the International Faculty, CITY College, delivered an insightful seminar on Gamification in Kyiv in cooperation with the International Faculty’s educational partner in Kyiv, the European Business Association (EBA).
In his presentation, entitled ‘Gamification: Engaging Employees and Customers’ Mr Liassides explained how gamification is used by brands to motivate employees, create healthy competition among teams, generate buzz or social proof, and encourage customer loyalty, among other benefits. The speaker suggested that with a variety of techniques – some easy to implement, some requiring advanced planning, coding, or technical expertise – any business can use gamification to get better results, no matter what the goals.
The event attracted managers and entrepreneurs who had the opportunity to become acquainted with the concept of gamification and found Mr. Liassides' presentation particularly inspiring.
