On 16 November 2017 students from our Business Administration & Economics Department went on a field trip to Thessaloniki’s Courthouse in the context of the ‘Introduction to Law’ unit, led by Ms Tania Mavridou.
During the visit at Thessaloniki's Courthouse the students attended a criminal trial process which was a useful experience as it allowed them to understand how the law works in practice. Watching an economic crime case (fraud) from beginning to the delivery of the judges' verdict, the students gained an insight into the process that is applied in criminal legal cases.
The court visit also gave the students the opportunity to have a better understanding of the different roles and responsibilities of the individuals involved in the proceedings.
