Pan-European Executive MBA students come together at the University of York for Study Week 2026

Students attending the Pan-European Executive MBA came together at the University of York for this year's York UK Study Week, one of the programme's most significant academic and networking milestones. Bringing together participants from the programme's different locations, including Thessaloniki, Belgrade, Bucharest, Baku, Yerevan and the Online cohort, the Study Week offered a unique opportunity for students to learn, collaborate and connect as one international MBA community.

Delivered over two weeks to accommodate the full cohort, the Study Week welcomed students from diverse professional backgrounds, industries and cultures. For many participants, it was the first opportunity to meet their classmates in person, strengthening the relationships developed throughout the programme and reinforcing the truly international character of the Pan-European Executive MBA.

The academic programme centred on the Corporate Financial Management module, delivered by Professor John Ashton, Dr Agnieszka Trzeciakiewicz and Professor Mark Rhodes from the University of York's School for Business and Society. Through lectures, discussions and case studies, students explored contemporary issues in corporate finance, including investment and financing decisions, risk management, corporate growth, financial sustainability and strategic planning, while examining how financial management supports effective decision-making in today's business environment.

As part of the week's professional development activities, students also participated in a Negotiation Skills seminar led by Dr Tom Hutcheson, strengthening a key leadership competency with practical applications across a wide range of business settings.

Beyond the classroom, participants had the opportunity to experience life at the University of York, explore the city's rich history and take part in a range of social and networking activities. These informal interactions are an important part of the Study Week experience, enabling students to build lasting professional relationships and expand their international networks.
