Policies & Procedures in the ILC

The Information & Learning Commons Mission is:

• To support the learning, teaching, and research needs of a high quality academic institution, by acquiring and organizing relevant and well balanced collections in a wide variety of formats.

• To provide a platform for developing services and for promoting the use of innovative technologies in order to equally offer all services to local and remote users.

• To offer an accessible, collaborative learning and research environment where people can pursue and share ideas.

In order to support our mission and set further goals a number of policies and procedures apply that are the framework on which the Information & Learning Commons (ILC) operates. Our policies indicate the rules and regulations that form the basis of the Information & Learning Commons operation, while procedures show how the ILC performs the services & facilities it offers.

For CITY College Community and for all other members our well-developed policies and procedures ensure that every user is treated equally, is granted equal access to resources materials, and has equal opportunity to use and enjoy the Information & Learning Commons.
