Library HelpDesks

If you have any questions on how to use the ILC resources, services and facilities or if you experience technical difficulties with the use of IT facilities, you may approach in person or contact one of the available Library HelpDesks:

Library Services Desk

This is the first point of contact for enquiries on services, including:

• Registration services (access to customer & computing services)
• Circulation services (borrowing, returning, renewing and  reserving material)
• Enquiry services (general library questions, reproduction services)
• Booking services (use of study rooms, lockers, multimedia and A/V material, etc)

Information Services Desk

If you have subject specialist questions or you need further instruction and guidance on the use of particular services and resources, then you should address the Information Services Desk. Services of this Desk include:

• Remote and off-campus services
• Digital services
• Information instruction services (info skills tutorials)
• Subject information (how to locate resources for assignments, projects, dissertations)
• Reference services (how to use print & electronic resources to retrieve information)
• Interlibrary Request and Document Delivery Services

Computing Support Services

This shall be the first point of contact for enquiries on general computing services, including:

• Email accounts and registration
• Use of computers and software
• IT support and Technical queries
• Intranet and local documentation
• Network and Wireless access
