Library Lockers

The Information and Learning Commons holds lockers for those who wish to keep their personal belongings safe whilst in the Leontos Sofou building, including books they have issued from the library.

Lockers are assigned free of charge to current CITY College students and staff.

Library lockers are issued on a daily basis until closing time.

 

How to obtain a locker

  • Locker keys are available from the Library Services Desk during ILC opening hours.
  • Users will need their Student ID Card to obtain a locker key.
  • Users will need to sign the Locker’s Reservation logbook upon receipt and return of locker key.
  • Only one key and one locker will be allocated per person.

 

Basic guidelines

  • Lockers are for the temporary storage of personal belongings and checked-out library items.
  • Non-circulating and uncharged library items are not to be stored in the locker at any time.
  • Each holder is responsible for both the key and the contents of the locker.
  • The ILC is not responsible for personal items left in the locker.
  • No food or beverages may be stored in the locker.
  • All keys for lockers are due before closing of the same day.
  • Lockers will be checked and cleared regularly.
  • Violations of use guidelines are subject to revocation of locker privileges.

 

Returning a locker key

  • The locker key should be returned to the Library Services Desk 10 minutes before closing time.
  • Please be aware that fines will be charged if keys are not returned before closing hour of the same day the key was taken. Students will be notified by email

 

Loss of locker keys

  • The ILC staff should be informed immediately if a key is lost or stolen.
  • There is a charge of replacement for lost keys.
