Mr Athanasios Fourtounas

Athanasios Fourtounas graduated from the military academy at 1996 as an Infantry officer and from 2009 until 2017 he was an Audit Officer. During his military career he has served in Kosovo (Jun 99 – Nov 00) and he graduated from the US Army Infantry Officers course in 2004 and now he is serving the Hellenic Army with the rank of LTC and he holds the position of Director of Logistics in NRDC-Italy/JLSG from July 2017 until August 2020.
He holds a M.Sc. in “Operational Planning”, an M.A. in “International Relations and Security” and he is certified as Risk Management and Project Management professional by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as well as a Gender specialist. Moreover, he is an experienced trainer with more than 3500 training hours.
Mr. Fourtounas was instructor of 2 NCO Academies and now he conducts consulting seminars for the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, University of Macedonia, University of Sheffield as well as for a number of private institutes. He is cooperating with MPSOTC, NATO, OSCE and EU for Risk Management and Project Management workshops for the last 4 years. He speaks Greek, English and Spanish and he is married with 2 sons and a daughter.
