Dr Vazakidou completed her PhD in Criminology on the impact of burglary victims' expectations about forensic science on their satisfaction with the police and crime scene investigation, using a mixed method approach. She was a awarded with a full time PhD studentship by University of Leicester. She had been working as a Teaching Fellow in University of Leicester, teaching modules related to Research Methods, Forensic Psychology and Forensic Science applied in the Criminal Justice System for three years and joined the City College in 2021. She teaches Research Methods and Social Psychology to BA level students in the English Studies Department and Psychology Department respectively and Reseach Methods at a postgradute level in the Psychology Department. Dr. Vazakidou is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
