Dr. Soldatos is Professor with the University of York AthensTech campus and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow (UK). He has been an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA). He is an expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies and applications including applications in industry and manufacturing (Industry 4.0), smart cities, finance, and healthcare. He has been Senior R&D Consultant for large multi-national firms, consulting firms as well as a scientific advisor to high-tech (AI/IoT) startups. He has worked as R&D Consulting and Innovation Delivery Specialist with Netcompany-Intrasoft S.A (2021-today) and INTRASOFT International (2020-2021).

He has had a leading role in the successful delivery of over 80 projects (industrial, academic, consulting, R&D) for various private and public sector organizations.  He has been a member of various boards, associations, standardization working groups, and think tanks. Dr. Soldatos is author or co-author of over 200 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. He is also author/co-author and editor/co-editor of eight (8) recent books in IoT, AI, and Industry 4.0.  He holds a BA, MA, and Ph.D.  from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece).
