Dr Peter Gillies

Dr. Peter Gillies is a professional consultant and an experienced lecturer. For the last 10 years Dr. Gillies is leading GMD Consulting, a company focused on change management, interim management, HR projects, teaching, training, facilitating, and coaching. The projects implemented by GMD Consulting has been covering a number of areas, including family business transition, cultural agility, M&A and strategy implementation, organizational design and change management and others. Before establishing his own consulting firm, Dr. Gillies was working as a Group Human Resources Director for Lindorff, AS, and as a Corporate Human Resources Director at Marine Harvest ASA, both located in Norway. Prior to that, he has been living and working in the Netherlands, employed for Nutrco, B.V. and CTG, N.V.

 

Dr. Peter Gillies has been teaching in Tilburg Institute of Advance Studies (TIAS), CITY College University of York and University of Phoenix (Rotterdam). At the moment he is being involved in Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) Research Team.

 

Dr. Gillies is an author of a number of publications, including “Change: The same river – A change model built standing on the shoulders of giants”, “An experiment: The gods of Cyberanthropology – What Artificial Intelligence needs to learn”, “Cultural Agility – the new basics of organizational development”, “We All Benefit – applications of Behavioral Economics in Debt Collection” and “The Parable of the Fat Man” – Ethics Case. Dr. Gillies has received a DBA degree in Business Psychology from the University of Bradford, a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Indianapolis where he played American football and an MBA from European University in The Hague. His most recent education also includes a certificate in Psychology of Management from Heriot-Watt University, and a postgraduate certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge. His certifications include PADI Scuba Instructor, MBTI – Steps 1 and 2 + Adv. Coaching and Leader Development, Hogan Assessment, Predictive Index Assessment and OPQ32.
