Dr Eleni Tsalkatidou after completing her bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she received an MSc in Journalism and New Media. In 2023 she got her PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and for her excellent doctoral studies she had been awarded with a three-year scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Dr Tsalkatidou is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, focusing on the integration of Artificial Intelligence tools in sports journalism newsrooms. She has also participated in many international scientific conferences in the field of journalism and communication and she has published extensively both in these fields. Alongside her academic career, she has been working for more than 20 years as a journalist in major newspapers, websites and radio stations in Thessaloniki and as a communication manager in cultural and sports events. Since 2014 she has also been working as an adult teacher in the fields of journalism, communication and digital media in public and private institutes of vocational training.
