Dr Prodromidou is an Assistant Professor in BAED and a Research Associate at the Southeast European Research Centres (SEERC). She joined CITY College in 2013. She holds a PhD in Russian Studies from the Centre for Russian and East European Studies, University of Birmingham, UK. She has taught and lectured on Politics and Russian Politics at the University of Birmingham, the University of Leicester and Nottingham Trent University in the UK and as a guest lecturer on Energy Poverty at Panteion University. She currently teaches European Union, International Politics, Corporate Social Responsibility and Academic Skills.
Dr Prodromidou currently works on three projects related to migration. The MIGREC H2020 Twinning project (available here), the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Network BORDEUR (available here) and the World Bank Legal Vice-Presidency, Secretariat of the Global Forum on Law, Justice and Development INTEGRATE.
She was the co-author and Academic Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Network MIGRATE project (available here) and the project manager for SEERC on the Strategic Partnerships Erasmus+ project ATSIV (available here). Dr Prodromidou also worked on a project on Comparative Political Economy between Greece and Turkey and was part of a wider collaborative network on issues of Political Economy in Greece, Spain, Portugal under the auspices of the Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute of the University of Sheffield.
In the past she also worked on a joint project with the School of Environment, Education and Development of the University of Manchester and the European Centre for Environmental Research and Training, Panteion University on Energy Poverty and Vulnerability in Greece.
Other current research interests include the Migrant Crisis in Southeast Europe, Russian Energy Policy, EU Energy and Security and Greek Politics.
Dr Prodromidou was a conference proposal reviewer of the Council for European Studies-University of Columbia, USA 23rd International Conference of Europeanists which was held in Philadelphia, PA between April 14-16, 2016. She also served as the Chair of Committee on Politics and Social Sciences at the 9th and 10th South East European Doctoral Student Conference in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
