University – Industry Collaboration Committee (UICC)
UICC reports to the CITY College Executive Board and its responsibilities are:
- To define, monitor and review CITY’s “University – Industry Collaboration” strategy, goals and actions
- To define a Value Proposition for the cooperation of CITY College with industrial and societal actors
- To promote, monitor and enhance CITY, Departmental and SEERC “University – Industry Collaboration” activities
- To inform CITY’s strategy and strategic planning on issues related to University – Industry Collaboration
- To facilitate Staff’s engagement with external stakeholders: industrial and business actors, society and local communities in Thessaloniki, Greece and the countries of South East Europe
- To enhance student experience by informing curricula with industry and society needs and views
- To promote student engagement with industry and society
- To facilitate student placements, internships, work experience and career promotion with industry and society
- To engage our Alumni in facilitating wider cooperation with their own activities and networks
- To ensure smooth cooperation with relevant services within our parent University aligning strategies and activities for “University – Industry Collaboration”
- To actively promote community engagement of CITY staff and students
- To promote University – Industry Knowledge Exchange as a two – way interaction
- To establish monitor and review University – Industry Collaboration Metrics across CITY College and Departmental activities.
- To ensure the effective implementation of the University’s and the CITY College policies related to University – Industry Collaboration
- To provide support for staff development on methods and tools to actively engage with industry and society, promoting knowledge exchange
- To ensure that our teaching and research are informed the latest developments, needs and perspectives of industry and society
- To ensure that CITY staff have access to resources needed to engage in a constructive dialogue and knowledge exchange with industry, communities and society
- To identify and disseminate good practices in “University – Industry Collaboration” and public engagement within and outside CITY College and the University
- To oversee the development of an annual UIC report covering all the relevant developments and activities and defining goals for the next year
