Successful Workshop on Managing Complexity by Prof. Psychogios in Kyiv
Prof. Alexandros Psychogios, Visiting Lecturer at the Executive MBA of the University of Sheffield International Faculty and Professor of International HRM at the Birmingham City University (UK) delivered a very insightful workshop on ‘Managing Complexity and Chaos’ in Kyiv, on 23 June 2017.

In his lively presentation Prof. Psychogios addressed today’s leaders’ challenge to achieve success in a complex and chaotic world, suggesting that business leaders should consider this complexity as a friend rather than an enemy. With this new perspective in mind the speaker introduced a modern way to management and defined 7 principles for managing complexity: 1. Explicit objectives. 2. Connection to the overall purpose (strategy). 3. Few & simple rules. 4. Defined boundaries of actions. 5. Continuous Feedback. 6. Freedom to act (autonomy to employees). 7. Tolerance & Continuous effort.

Prof. Psychogios shared his insights, innovative ideas and approach to management with EBA members who also had the opportunity not only to attend a bright presentation but also to become a part of thought-provoking experiment.
