A Day with Deloitte Greece
A successful event with remarkable student participation and engagement On 27th of March 2024 more than 50 students from our Business Administration and Economics Department and our Computer Science Department attended a successful event titled ‘A Day with Deloitte Greece’ where they had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into Deloitte's history, values, and mission. The event proved a great opportunity for our students to meet Deloitte representatives - Mr. Stavros Kiriakidis, HR Assistant Manager and Mr. Ioannis Karasavvoglou, HR Consultant - learn more about the diverse range of career paths and roles available within the organisation and the key skills and competencies that Deloitte looks for in candidate employees. Following the presentation our students also had the opportunity to engage in informal discussions (interviews) with Deloitte representatives. The event was organised by the Career, Employability and Enterprise Centre of CITY College, University of York Europe Campus in collaboration with two departments and it received remarkable participation and engagement.

Alumni Reception in Skopje: A celebration of success and connection
A successful alumni reunion with 250 graduates attending Delegates from CITY College rejoined with our graduates, creating a heartwarming atmosphere. Warm smiles and heartfelt reunions filled the Skopje Alumni Reception on the 21st of March, as over 250 alumni gathered to celebrate their shared past at CITY College and create new bonds. A delegation from CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, consisting of Dr. Megaklis Petmezas, Vice-President for New Developments, Marketing, and Recruitment, Dr. Nikos Tsorakidis, Deputy Vice-President for External Engagement and Partnerships, Professor Leslie Szamosi, Director of the Pan-European Executive MBA, Ms. Ioanna Kapnopoulou, Head of Public Engagement and Corporate Services, Mr. George Efstathiadis, Director of the Executive Development Institute (EDI), Dr. Ioanna Stamatopoulou, Head of the Computer Science Department, Ms. Theofano Kyriakou, Director of Student Services and Alumni and Ms Marija Nikovska, Country Manager in Skopje, joined the Alumni reception and celebrated with the graduates the reunion. Also, the Consul General of Greece, Mrs Maria Diagouma, honoured the event with her presence. Dr Petmezas warmly welcomed all alumni and guests expressing his joy at reuniting with our alumni community in Skopje again: "As we celebrate our 35th anniversary, we look to the future with optimism and ambition. We aspire to be a leading institution in the region and beyond, ensuring excellence in education, research and innovation. We aim to empower our students to become global citizens and leaders who can meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. We are creating a lasting legacy and impact that will benefit generations to come. To achieve this vision and goal, we need the continued support and partnership of our students and graduates. We encourage them to connect with their fellow graduates, share experiences, collaborate on projects and celebrate their success, because they are not only our past, but also our present and our future." The event presented our graduates – most of them already thriving in the business world – with the opportunity to reconnect, network, and enjoy a social gathering filled with nostalgia and joy. The reunion proved to be a heartwarming and memorable occasion, as gratuates relived cherished memories from their time at CITY College and discussed how their studies have significantly impacted their professional journeys. A successful 'Free Memory Test Day' by CITY College, Alzheimer Hellas and the YMCA
A successful event with a substantial turnout in Thessaloniki More than 100 people had the opportunity to do a free preventive memory test A great opportunity for our student volunteers from the postgraduate programmes in Cognitive Neuropsychology and Clinical Neuropsychology of CITY College who participated in the activity to put their knowledge into practice, as well as offer to the community. The Free Memory Test Day organised by CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, the Hellenic Society of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (Alzheimer Hellas) and YMCA was held with great success and large attendance on Wednesday, 20 March 2024 at the premises of YMCA in Thessaloniki. More than 100 people had the opportunity to do a free preventive memory test and receive the results and corresponding instructions. The supervision of the event was undertaken by Ms Georgia Papaioannou, Lecturer in Neuropsychology at the Department of Psychology of CITY College and Ms Magda Ouzouni, Psychologist at Alzheimer Hellas. Student volunteers from the postgraduate programmes in Cognitive Neuropsychology and Clinical Neuropsychology of CITY College also participated in the activity and had the chance to put their knowledge into practice as well as offer to the community. The event was attended by Dr Madga Tsolaki, Neurologist-Psychiatrist-Theologist Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and President of the President of the Panhellenic Federation of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders, Dr Suzie Savvidou, Head of the Psychology Department of CITY College, Dr Manousos Klados, Associate Professor of the Psychology Department of CITY College, Ms Aristi Tzoni, Directorate for Action and Social Offer of YMCA, as well as other representatives of the three organising bodies. The Free Memory Test Day took place in the context of the social responsibility action of CITY College, Alzheimer Hellas and YMCA with the aim of promoting the prevention of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, as well as informing the public and raising awareness. Middle Ground Workshop by University of York students at CITY College
In early March we were delighted to host Phoebe Durojaiye and Tiffany Agbobu, both students from the University of York, who successfully conducted a very insightful Middle Ground Workshop at our main campus in Thessaloniki. During this workshop, our students engaged in thought-provoking discussions and had the opportunity to exchange their perspectives on a variety of subjects, such as cultural diversity, inclusion, and numerous other related themes. This engaging event fostered an environment of open-mindedness and intellectual growth among our participants. This was the second consecutive year that Phoebe and Tiffany had the opportunity to impart their knowledge and facilitate workshops for our students.

Our Psychology students explored the illusionary world at Thessaloniki's Museum of Illusions
Our first year Psychology students had the opportunity to explore the illusionary world during their visit to the Museum of Illusions in Thessaloniki with PhD Candidate and part-time lecturer Nena Evgeniadou. A great opportunity to enter the fascinating world of optical illusions, deepen their understanding of working and visual perception, as well as the crucial role of the brain in visual perception, which is taught in the Sensation & Perception module.
