Community Counselling Centre
The Psychology Department of CITY College is pleased to announce the official launch of the new Community Counselling Centre, which is located at Prox. Koromila's building, 5th floor. The Counselling Centre is open to the public and is equipped with all the necessary tools, which partially helps the counsellors to provide appropriate counselling and supervision as set by the professional standards of the relevant professional bodies. The centre operates with the first MA in Counselling Psychology students cohort, who completed the theoretical part of their studies last year, finished their experiential foundation training in the fall semester and have been trained in the eclectic approach (i.e. applying techniques from the main theoretical approaches depending on the client's problem - instead of using one approach for every client and every problem, which during times like this can be too expensive and not efficient). Each client can have as many sessions as they wish with a symbolic cost (5€) per person/ per session. Everyone who needs either to explore personal issues, modify undesirable behaviors, change unhelpful thinking problems or work on anything else that affects their daily routine negatively, can call at (2310) 22 45 21 leaving their name and phone number and we will call them back to arrange an initial assessment and if appropriate further appointments.

The University of Sheffield among the 'top 20' for graduate employers
The University of Sheffield ranked among the top 20 universities targeted by the UK's largest graduate recruiters, according to a new survey. According to a new research conducted in the UK shows that top investment banks, law firms and consultancies are focusing on finding graduate recruits at a small handful of elite universities such as The University of Sheffield which ranked 11th in the list. Quite interesting is the fact that the surveyed firms would most likely contact university students during their early career, long before their graduation through modern ways of recruitment such as the social media. The report is based on research with the UK's one hundred leading graduate employers including BP, the Civil Service, IBM, Goldman Sachs, PwC, Google and HSBC.
