Call For Scholarships for students from Kosovo 2025-26
Application Deadline | 8 March 2025 CITY College, University of York Europe Campus is offering forty-five (45) partial scholarships of UP TO -50% on the standard fees to students from Kosovo for Bachelors, Masters, and Executive MBA for the academic year 2025-26 (start date of programmes: October 2025) until the end of the specific academic programme. Under the scholarships initiative, CITY College aims at supporting tuition of students from Kosovo who wish to study at CITY College in Thessaloniki, Greece and pursue a globally recognised degree from a world-class university. Successful presentation of the MENTBEST research programme at the Alliance for Mental Health Opening Ceremony
The MENTBEST programme, dedicated to enhancing mental health, was successfully presented by Professor Ana Vivas, who captivated the audience with her engaging presentation during the Opening Ceremony of the Alliance for Mental Health at Thessaloniki City Hall. A panel discussion followed, moderated by Dr. Lina Gega, a Professor of Mental Health at the University of York. Together with esteemed panelists, she examined the obstacles and practical solutions for supporting the mental well-being of children and young people. Additionally, Mr. Nikos Zacharis, Director of the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC), delivered an inspiring speech that articulated the Alliance's vision and underscored the significance of collaboration in addressing mental health issues. The event attracted over 100 participants, including representatives from various organisations, mental health professionals, researchers, and engaged citizens, all eager to contribute to the conversation on mental health.

35th Anniversary of CITY College celebrated with concert by Alkistis Protopsalti
CITY College, University of York Europe Campus celebrated its 35th anniversary with an amazing concert by renowned singer Alkistis Protopsalti exclusively performed for our academic community. Alkistis Protopsalti captivated the audience with her unique voice and her amazing stage presence, performing beloved songs from her extensive discography in a programme tailored for an international audience. The event took place on 22nd November 2024 at the Principal Theatre in Thessaloniki. The event commenced with a warm welcome from the President and Principal of CITY College, Mr. Yiannis Ververidis, before handing the stage over to Alkistis Protopsalti. The concert was attended by students and alumni of CITY College from Greece and abroad - who were also participating in the Graduation Ceremony at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall the following day - as well as faculty and friends of the CITY College. Notably, Professor Charlie Jeffery, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of York as well as distinguished Greek-American Emmy-nominated actor, writer and director Melina Kanakaredes, were also in attendance. Both Alkistis Protopsalti and Melina Kanakaredes were awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor by the University of York during the Graduation Ceremony of CITY College. The event took place as part of CITY College's 35th Anniversary and Graduation celebrations. CITY College business students gain real-world insights from Hellenic Dough HR Director
Students from our Business Administration and Economics Department had the opportunity to get first hand industry insights on onrganisational behavious from the a presentation of Ms. Villy Nouli, HR Director at M. Arabatzis S.A. - Hellenic Dough. With her wealth of experience, Ms.Nouli delved into the complexities of entrepreneurial leadership, sharing evidence-based strategies to enhance employee performance and navigate organisational change effectively. Her insights shed light on how organisational structure and culture are instrumental in driving success. Interacting with the HR leader of Greece's largest frozen dough products company - and one of the largest in Europe - was a unique experience that brought real-world perspectives into our academic environment. Her stories and examples bridged the gap between theory and practice, providing our students with valuable takeaways. CITY College extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Villy Nouli for her compelling presentation to students in the Organisational Behaviour class, led by Dr. Giovanni Oscar Serafini.
