Business students participate in Youth Exchange Programme in Israel
Two undergraduate students from our Business Administration and Economics Department, namely, Bisera Serafimovska and Stefan Petkovski had the opportunity to participate in a Youth Exchange Programme in Israel, organised by the Rotary Clubs of Israel. During the programme our students discovered another culture, developed leadership skills and experienced what it means to become a truly global citizen. Bisera said: “This week was life-changing for me. The programme itself did not change my life, but the experiences I had after the programme did. That week I met with more than 100 international students that I had to connect with, and together we encountered different learning and growing activities both physically and mentally. Although I was exposed to evolving leaders throughout High School and University, for the first time I was challenged to consider what my leadership style would be, the different types of leadership I could try, and how I could use my skills assist to inspire others. I will always return to the insights I gained during the programme.” The Youth Exchange Programme in Israel proved a truly international and educational experience for our students.

Boat trip to Chalkidiki
Our students celebrated this year’s 1st of May holiday with a boat trip to Chalkidiki. Organised by the International Faculty Students’ Union (CSU) the boat trip was a great opportunity for students to do a warm-up for summer and enjoy the sun and the sunny beaches of Chalkidiki. Our students sailed away from Thessaloniki towards Sithonia, the second peninsula of Chalkidiki and arrived at the small village of Ormos Panagias. Then, they set sail for Ammouliani, a quite island with wonderful beaches. They had fun swimming in the crystal clear waters and enjoying beach games. Greek cuisine couldn’t be missing from the trip, so famous Greek dishes, such as souvlaki, tzatziki, potato chips and Greek salad were served on the boat. On their way back our students sailed towards Lagonisi island where they jumped off the boat and enjoying once again the blue waters. And since partying is always on the agenda, the way back included an on board party! Everyone enjoyed the day and returned to Thessaloniki with tanned happy faces!
