The Professional Development Seminar Series of the Computer Science Department of CITY College kicked-off on 31 October 2019 with the first seminar of the year on “Project Management using Scrum”. The seminar was delivered by our Computer Science alumna, Ms Agapi Chrysi Kyrtsidou, who returned to CITY College to talk to our final year students attending the BSc (Hons) in Computer Science about Scrum, a process framework for effective team collaboration while working on a problem. Ms Kyrtsidou is now completing her postgraduate studies in Management & International Business at the University of Bristol, UK, and was happy to share her knowledge and experience on Scrum, a tool that she got acquainted with during her Masters studies as well as during her internship in Project Management in an IT company in France. The Professional Seminar Series run by our Computer Science Department is a very successful series of seminars, running each academic year, presented by different guest lectures on range of topics. The Series aims at furnishing our students with more practical and technical knowledge and better preparing them for real life challenges in their future working environments.
