Distinguished speakers from of the Bank of Valetta share insights on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) with our business students
Students from the Business Administration and Economics Department had the opportunity to attend an insightful presentation by representatives from the Bank of Valetta who explored the critical topics of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Our distinguished speakers, including Stefan Abela from the Bank of Valletta, Dr. Tania Camilleri from Learning & Development, and Micki Mifsud Western from Customer Experience, provided invaluable insights into how inclusivity is shaping the future of business. The discussion highlighted that EDI is no longer just a buzzword, but a business imperative. Companies that embrace diversity drive innovation, employee satisfaction, and long-term success. However, true inclusion requires more than just policies—it demands ongoing commitment and measurable actions. Today's consumers expect brands to reflect and respect diverse communities, and modern businesses that prioritize EDI and CSR not only contribute positively to society but also enhance their overall performance. A special thank you to Dr. Fenia Mavrodi, Academic Director of the Business Administration & Economics Department, for organizing this impactful event. Her dedication to bringing such important conversations to our community has made a lasting impression. Students played a pivotal role in making the event a success, actively engaging with the speakers, asking thought-provoking questions, and contributing to a dynamic and inspiring dialogue. Their enthusiasm demonstrated a strong commitment to pushing for change and advocating for inclusive business practices. We look forward to keeping the conversation going and continuing to drive meaningful change within the business world. The full event is available on YouTube
