An exciting Paintball experience for our students by CSU

On Saturday, 9 March 2019 the Students’ Union (CSU) of the International Faculty CITY College run successfully a paintball event inviting students to experience paintball and have fun. Students who participated challenged each other during the action game and enjoyed the exciting recreational activity.

Student Ski Trip to Bansko by the CSU

For one more consecutive year our students set off for Bansko, one of Bulgaria's most popular ski resorts, right after the examination period to enjoy a short holiday in the mountains. Organised by the CSU and took place 11-14 February 2019. Students who participated in the trip enjoyed skiing, snowboarding and so much more.

Kick off session for the Ninjutsu Student Club

On Saturday, 2 March students of the Ninjutsu Club had their kick-off session. Guided by Ninjutsu instructor, Mr Panagiotis Ntailakis, students got a first taste of the martial art of Ninjutsu and enjoyed it a lot!

The International Faculty is happy to introduce the 'Environmental Society', our new student club focusing on environmental awareness and activities! Events, field trips and charities are only some of our students ideas for spring semester. Students wishing to join the club, are welcome to come to the first meeting on Friday, 1 March, at 16:00 in L3-L4 Room.

Students organise Christmas Bazaar in support of Children's Village Plagiari

Practicing giving while spreading the Christmas spirit On Thursday, 13 December 2018 students of the Sunrise Movement - the student club of the International Faculty dedicated to social action - run a Christmas Bazaar for fund raising in order to support the Children's Village Plagiari. The Bazaar took place at Sofou building. Students set up the Christmassy stalls and invited everyone inside and outside the campus to purchase for a good cause. The community of the International Faculty responded to students’ call and helped the cause by getting a treat for themselves of their loved ones.

Students of Gaming Club having fun

Virtual reality and numerous games for students of the Gaming Club who have great time every time they meet! The Gaming Club is a recent addition to International Faculty student clubs running this year, introduced by the Department of Student Affairs and Alumni. Computer Science student presents Lego robotics workshop at Albanian school

Our computer science student, Ms Zoi Gkatsi, a very active member of the Robotics Club, organised on her own initiative, a Lego Robotics Workshop at school in Korce, Albania. During the workshop Zoi discussed the basics of programming, bringing in the classroom her own experiences from the club on the Lego EV3 kits. Approximately, 45 students participated in the interactive workshop that aimed at introducing them to computational thinking. Students were first asked to brainstorm on scenarios for the robot and then to work together to achieve the project’s goal by dragging and dropping movements for the robot. Children immediately saw the result of their programme as the robot acted accordingly. By the end of the workshop, children learnt how commands can be combined together to write programmes that enable robots to move in the 3D space. The event was very successful as children were really excited to participate. Congratulations to our student on this really nice initiative!
