Halloween fundraising event at CITY College Europe Campus
Students of CITY College embraced the Halloween spirit with a successful fundraising event organised by the Sunrise Movement, the student club for social responsibility. Also supported by the CSU, the event was well-attended and raised a significant amount of money for the organisation ‘The Other Man’ (Meals for all). Well done to all!

On Friday, June 23rd, the Alumni Department of CITY College Europe Campus hosted the Class of 2023's graduation party at Boheme, an exquisite event venue overlooking the stunning sunset by the sea in Thessaloniki. The atmosphere perfectly captured the vibrant party scene of the city. It was an unforgettable celebration that will be cherished for years to come. Ms Theofano Kyriakou, Director of the Alumni Department of CITY College greeted all students and on behalf of the University extended the heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates and warmly welcomed them to our dynamic, global, and extraordinary alumni community! Student Spring Symposium 2023
A great event for students by students Celebrating academic research across CITY College Europe Campus 21 student presentations, 49 presenters, 180 attendees, 1 amazing workshop, 3 best presentation awards A successful event entirely organised by CITY College students On 10 & 11 May 2023 CITY College, University of York Europe Campus successfully held the Student Spring Symposium 2023 (SSS23) at its main campus in Thessaloniki aiming at enhancing student research and showcasing remarkable research projects. The event featured 21 captivating presentations covering a wide range of topics delivered by 49 talented students, from diverse fields of study, all ready to showcase through presentations their passion, talent and knowledge. About 180 enthusiastic students from all departments attended the event and celebrated students’ achievements.SSS23 truly demonstrated the immense talent within CITY College’s student community. Three exceptional presentations won Best Presentation Awards. Congratulations to talented winners namely, Tron Baraku, Bindi Pireva both from the Computer Science Department and Kerasoula Papadopoulou from Psychology Department. Students demonstrated extraordinary skills, creativity and a deep understanding of their topic. In the context of the Symposium an interactive and informative workshop took place last week on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education. Dr Suzie Savvidou, Head of the Psychology Department, and Dr Zoi Tatsioka, Head of the Humanities Department defined key concepts of equality, diversion and inclusion (EDI), such as intercultural competence, allyship, inclusive language, unconscious bias, microaggressions, and intersectionality, among others, and discussed various ways through which EDI can be promoted in academia. CITY College students and staff also participated in the discussion and offered interesting insights into the topic as well as useful feedback. Students who acted as Chairs of the Student Spring Symposium, namely Erëza Gacaferri, Symeon Kiosoglou - Kaloudis, Bisera Samardijeva and Maxim Knyshev also received awards in recognition of their outstanding contribution for the event’s success. CITY College warmly congratulates all students who organised the Students’ Spring Symposium as well as those who took the opportunity to present their work.
